Combining my two majors in English Literature and Music Composition, HAIODEE is the product of a year-long focused study of Southern folk music and the novels of William Faulkner.

"Clive is Dead, Long Live Clive" is the debut swansong of So-Cal Punk outfit CLIVE. Burgeoning songwriters Jesse Makuakane and Keegan Perez lead on vocals and guitar while bassist John Butler and bludgeoning drummer Adam Spradley hold down the rhythm. You'll feel this in your bones.

The composition major challenged me to compose and arrange in multiple styles, ranging from the Renaissance motet and string quartet to barbershop and extended technique piano pieces.

The elusive K. Perez released two songs with Westmont College's literary magazine before becoming music editor in 2022.
